I am a stay @ home mom. I used to be a social worker so I was prepared educationally for my children and their different challenges, well for the most part. It was hard getting organized at work & being organized is still a challenge. So today was no different in deciding where to begin.

One idea I used was to pretend I was organized. Great, I cleaned and put away things that have waited for days. I pretended. while mopping our wooden floors vigorously, a thought came to mind.

While writers have told us to see our lives as a journey, IT IS like taking a trip. Why do I think twice about this, because when we take a trip we have to plan where we go, how much $ to save,etc....So there is much planning & when we read articles, listen to doctors they tell us to plan or meals, plan our exercise time, plan to rest,etc....

My revelation, my life is my trip & if I want to have fun on my trip, I have to plan, plan, & in my case go out of my comfort zone to plan, since it's not part of my character.

This trip is important to make plans, because I have excluded people from my life since I get caught up w/ family life, home repairs & maintenance, or our health & since I don't plan so well, my time is spent catching up. I know, a waste.

So I tell myself & will need to remind myself that this trip is worth the planning even when I feel overwhelmed.
