I think I'll number them according to the days I actually blog. But then it's open-ended without a stopping point. Wotthehell, as Mehitabel used to say.
I meant to start a blog early this morning, but it's been a day where everything seemed sort of scattered. You know how it is, do a little of this - interruption - do a little of that - interruption - start doing the other - interruption. Scattered.
Tomorrow is my second gym session. Now, it's not a 'real' gym in the sense that I have a membership, trainer, place where I can follow a program, whatever. But the assessment for my knee consists in part of a physical therapy clinic, and they have a big room with several different stations set up that focus on strengthening knees.
There are simple things, like resistance bands and balance boards, and more complicated things, like an elliptical strider and cycle machines, with a range of options in between. I had a blast last week.
We get an hour and there are two PTs in attendance, with maybe six or eight 'knee patients.' Some of the exercises don't require any special equipment - sit / stand is one; amazing how much of a workout you can get just from that - but for the ones that do, like the cycles, they have wonderful stuff.
I only get four sessions, one a week for four weeks, then I'm back to my own. Those of you who have access to fitness suites and gyms and so on? You lucky so-and-so's. Make the most of it. I would if I could, and I'm already planning what I'm going to do tomorrow.
Like a kid turned loose in a candy store.
That's it from me. More stuff I could've and should've written, but - up early, did 30 - 40 minutes of exercises (yes! ME!), got groceries, did the usual housework, and played BeatleBand, so it's been a full day. And I want to get to bed on time to be well-rested for tomorrow.
Goodnight, Sparklers, wherever you are!
