I got my shoe on!

It is the simple things we take for granted. I had foot surgery on January 10th and I’m so happy to walk without my wedged boot. It was interesting when I took those first few steps in my shoes because the boot was angled with my heel being lower than the toes so when I started going forward I felt like I was falling forward. It didn’t take me long to get the regular feeling of walking back, but now I can only take baby steps.
I had been suffering with two different foot issues over the last two years. After multiple cortisone injections and months of physical therapy I had to bite the bullet and have surgery. I was thankful that the foot doctor fixed two problems with one surgery.
Now I’m just waiting for the healing and I can move forward with some exercise. It has been a long time since I’ve done much. I love to walk and when I lost that ability I let everything go. It was very destructive and now I need to build back up!
