A new diagnosis, a new doctor, & a new all-time high.

Obviously, I have been absent from Sparkpeople for quite a while. I've been battling various medical issues and just haven't been giving my all to becoming more fit. I have finally found a great help in my new physician and her nurse practitioner. These ladies really know their stuff and I have been making strides toward getting my issues more under control. My new doctor thought that my previous diagnosis of bipolar II wasn't quite the right fit, so she began treating me for depression and severe anxiety in September. So far, my medication has made things much easier to bear and has made me feel more proactive toward other areas of my health. Next to be treated was my chronic acid reflux. My NP pinpointed the right treatment for me immediately and I am glad to say that I haven't suffered a single night of reflux since.
I had a follow-up appointment on Friday to check my medications' effectiveness, discuss some reproductive issues I've been having, and to address my food issues. One of my medications was adjusted and the decision to set me up with both an OBGYN and a nutritionist was made. All that is left to do is await the call from the practice telling me who, when, and where. All of this couldn't come at a more perfect time. I am at my all-time heaviest and I am positively anxious over it. Given my mother's recent diagnosis of type II diabetes, I knew that enough was enough and that I needed to seek help. Hopefully, things can turn around for me soon.
