Back From Vacation

Well back from vacation, and facing the facts that didn't do so hot the last week. But today is a new day and the start of new week. Missed all of my Spark friends but had made up my mind to take a break from computer and telephone except for one work related teleconference.
Vacation was a combination of yard work, small hiking trips, and fishing. We got our garden planted, yeah. DH is finishing up with the tomato plants today. Took several small hiking walks (still not released to do more so still trying to be patient). Then the best was a day spent fishing. Beat the pants off DH 14 to 6 hee hee. Caught 13 Northern Pike, three of which were 32 inches and one.
Back to eating right and not eating non-stop it's amazing how easy it is to slip back into old habits.

    Somtimes when I see people fishing out on the piers (saw a guy catch a gar-weird looking fish), that it might be fun to try it again one day! Wasn't good at it at all the couple times I did try. Glad you had a nice time on your staycation. Staying at home sometimes is just as nice, that is what we have been doing the last few years. You rest more and get things done!!! emoticon

    Sounds like a great vacation! I LOL'd at the fish count. Good for you!! It sounds like you stayed active during your time off, so even if you didn't eat optimally, you still did good.

    My stepcousin also fishes. A friend of his caught a Northern Pike but it was 25 inches. Plus they caught some smaller fish.

    Vacation times always seem to be a time when we all fall off track and slowly slip into old habits if the vacation time is longer than a couple days! All that aside, I hope you enjoyed the time away from the computer and phone!

    It always does a body good to get away from these things time tio time, in my opinion...and yes! today is a new day! So now you will have a renewed spirit to pick up the reins and continue your battle to the healthier you! emoticon
