Making Spark work for the new me

I joined this site Feb. 6, 2010 obese and clueless. I dropped the weight that year and slowly drifted away. I came back a few times, vowing to be as active as I was but never coming through.

While I'm still on the same account I'm back as a new person. I'm here as someone who has run three marathons and is a Spinning instructor (so, I guess I can sort of call myself a fitness professional!) Maybe I should, maybe I shouldn't have, but I deleted all my old posts, left most of my teams (I'm still on SparkColumbus!) and joined a few new ones.

My weight has fluctuated. I'm now just three pounds over where I was at my skinniest. My goal is to lose those three, and then 10 more, but not at the expense of other goals.

So how can I make Spark work for me?

The biggest change I've faced recently is having to go Gluten Free due to a food intolerance. I joined the Gluten Free SparkTeam, and of course I love the recipes.

I want to be a better Spin instructor! I joined the Spinning enthusiasts SparkTeam and may look for a few more teams for instructors.

I've still been reading the articles. I might as well get the points for them! The resources on this site continue to be invaluable.

I have again vowed to track my food, but sorry Spark, I've defected to My Fitness Pal. It works better for me. I still love you, I promise!

    I'm glad you are back! You will make Spark work for you and in the process not only will it make you a better spin instructor/fitness professional or have some tasty gluten free recipes to use, but you will also inspire and motivate someone else by simply being you.

    I see My Fitness Pal allows a person to track working out with weights, which seems to be missing from this site. Plus, I don't do any of the exercises that can be chosen on this site. Does My Fitness Pal have a fairly extensive choice of food, types of exercises, allow you to track your water intake, etc.?
