Tired, Chocolate Trouble, and Outline Problems

I have not been getting enough sleep because of night sweats. Got a fan on at night now but haven't caught up on sleep from before. I am so tired now. Went a little overboard on snacks today; since some of them were chocolate. Have to cut back and eat more fruits and veggies instead. Having trouble writing my outline for class. Fighting to say the right words for it. Hopefully I can do better tomorrow.

    Hi, I happened upon your blog. Sounds like you are doing really great! I am your age. . . with a similar amount to lose.

    Here's what I do about chocolate: I figure, dark chocolate is good for you, I am not going to deny myself forever, it'll be part of my program. 1 Ghirardelli 60% cacao chocolate chip is 5 calories. And if you are going to have chocolate, have the BEST! I budget in 10 of these a day, for 50 calories. I savor them one at a time--delish.

    Another around 50 calorie treat is unsweetened cocoa powder in hot water (mix powder with a little hot water first). 1 tsp sugar is 16 calories. then maybe a dash of vanilla extract (or a drop of almond) , and just a little lite squirty whipped cream. So good. You can add a little cinnamon if you want.

    Another: frozen banana, 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, skim milk or half milk half yogurt, blend it together with a little vanilla extract. SO GOOD! It's more calories but filling and healthy. No sugar needed.

    Sleep is so important for weight loss too, I hope the fan helps you. It is almost impossible to catch up on lost sleep, but hopefully you will start getting the rest needed.

    When I was having problems with class assignments, I would walk away for awhile and try to concentrate on other things. Then when I went back too it, it seemed clearer too me. I hope you find the same thing when you go back to it tomorrow.

    Where do you store your chocolate? I keep mine in the freezer I have to go in there to get it special. Take out only one piece at at a time....Not a serveing but a individual chocolate candy. I know what I'm doing when i get it but still sometimes eat more than i should. Try dark chocolate its more intense so you eat less than milk and feel satisfied. Try pairing a small amount of chocolate with fruit oranges and 15 grams of chocolate go well together, other fruits also can be used with chocolate and you can use a veggie peeler to make shavings as a garnish. Good luck on your class project.
