Man, time flies.

It's already been a week since I made the decision to step on the scale and hit the re-set button. Hard to believe so much time has flown! I could hardly wait to hop on the scale this morning to see how I did.

And survey says..... ?

WI: 157.3

emoticon3.3 pounds roughly.


I think back to the first few days of getting back into my work out routine..

Something to keep in mind tonight when I go for another run and ST. I am really hoping for good results next week!

Also. Wanted to show you guys my first hand love affair with protein. This was breakfast a few days ago and dinner last night. Excuse crappy picture.

It's egg in a basket with 45 calorie Sara lee honey wheat bread. And yes, that is a heart.. lol. Unlike most other really pretty egg in a baskets I see, I flip mine on both sides. So the top kind of cooks a bit, while still keeping the creamy part of the yolk intact. There are also slices of avocado which make this way rich and the bing cherries add a sweetness to it.

This is strange for me. I always used to hate eggs. I started to fall in love with them on my hawaii trip, and now I find they are getting up there as my favorite source of protein and breakfast food.

Would be interested to hear from you all how your taste have changed and what you enjoy eating now that you didn't like eating before spark. :)

    I have to say that I am eating a lot more vegetables and actually enjoying them- even beets LOL I started with the idea of eating at least 1/2 cup of veg per meal and the mantra "you don't have to like your veg, you just have to eat them". Now I belong to an organic CSA and I'm even eating radishes. Everything has changed for the better :-) emoticon emoticon

    I HATED broccoli now it's my go to veggie EVERY time! I sprinkle red pepper flakes & pepper on the with a dash of salt & pat of butter. YUM!

    Onions, bell peppers, more spicy foods - all additions to my diet that I don't know that I could live without now! In the past few weeks I've also tried dates. YUM! I too love eggs and have that almost every morning now. I always feel more powerful and energized with some eggs in my belly! Sometimes I wish I could eat them morning, noon and night! *lol* (Moderation, Esther...moderation!)

    I too have hit the reset button as far as working out goes and getting rid of bad habits (emotional eating and eating anything I want)....way to go on the hard work and the weight loss! Sounds like you are doing great! I love eggs in a basket too...never thought to make it till I started ordering it at Cracker Barrel :) . I never thought I liked avacados...but in Missouri, its difficult to find good ones, and being originally from California, I'm a bit picky about them! Keep up the good work! emoticon emoticon
