not just sweating cuz it's hot!

Friday, July 13, 2012

So I'm sitting here in a hotel room kinda on a mini vacation, actually a one night rendezvous with my man who lives out of state and while I'm waiting for him I decided to go ahead and do my workout. 18 minutes of POP cardio,+ 100 situps. To my surprise, I was sweating just as much as I do at home where I only have a ceiling fan in my room. It is significantly colder in here with the ac on. Anyway, I was glad for that. Means I am working as hard as it feels and not just sweating cuz it's hot. Lol
Also having some thoughts about my dinner choice earlier. Was not worth the points. Would have been yummier and less points eating shredded chicken on some salad rather than trying to make a low point version of chicken enchilladas with whole wheat low carb tortillas and 2 tbsp of ww 2 point cream cheese. ...I am still full though and I ate about 3 and a half hours ago.
Anyway, what I think I learned is to embrace the salad alternative of things instead of trying to mimic the fattening meals my roomates are eating. This is actually what I usually do but today for some reason my friend was especially gung ho about me eating what they were eating but with slightly different ingredients and preparations. If she hadn't been talking about it so much, I probably would have just made the salad.
Live and Learn. ...Cheers

actually...having an opportunity to try a low cal version of a favorite ...
and being able to enjoy it with friends...gave you the chance to try it...
for those times you might just crave that kind of thing.

you can always go back to your salads.
emoticon emoticon great job on the exercise

Good for you using your waiting time to work on your health. That's one way to keep from being bored or anxious (I'm usually anxious when I'm waiting for someone, but that may just be me.)

And I can relate to how friends can pressure you into getting off course. I have someone who is always cooking something new that she insists I MUST try. I think she's starting to back off now because I keep turning her down. But it's hard to say no a million times!

Anyway, hope you had a nice visit with your guy and good luck reaching your goals. emoticon
