I have plateaued at 131 for about a year and a half. I mean I won't complain, I started this journey at 164 so hey 131 is fantastic!
About 6 months ago I finally made peace with the fact that my body does not want to be 125, it likes the low 130's.
My husband FINALLY met with a diabetes doctor instead of his regular physician and I also changed my Spark information to Diabetes so that I could see some food recommendations for us to eat. According to all of my blood tests I am very healthy but hey I figured this change won't hurt me and why cook different things for us.
I am doing the Susan G. Koman 3-day in October and have started my walking training, when I say walking I mean like 10 miles each day on the weekends as well as 3-6 miles as many days as possible during the week....guess what????????
THE SCALE HAS MOVED!!!!! I didn't want to get ahead of myself but last week (we weigh in on Wednesday's at our house) I lost 1 pound, I was down to 129 and yesterday we weighed in again and the scale read 128!!!!! Mind you this is my time of the month so I was thinking yesterday was going to be low 130's again.
I am sooo excited, I mean yes I was very happy at 131 but in my heart of hearts I knew I could eventually reach that 125 mark. I changed up my routine, I am eating lower carbs and more good fats and it seems that I shook the system!!
Sorry but I am feeling pretty good about this one, yay me!!!
P.S. Let me not forget....my husband was 227 when he went to the doctor, the doctor asked that he try to be 220 by the time we went back in mid August....he has already gotten down to 220, 4 pounds lost the 1st week and 3 pounds lost yesterday!!!
Needless to say we are walking on air today!!!!!!
