Long overdue update!!!!!

Hi SparkFriends!!!!

When I last blogged, I was doing really well with eating, and was right on track to be in the 150's by August.....to say that didn't happen would be an understatement!!!!!
I am now over 170, but I think about 170 once I lose some water weight.
I seem to have the whole "all or nothing" mindset, that I can't break myself from, even though I KNOW it is beyond ridiculous!!!!!
If I do anything that is "bad", then I say "screw it" and eat EVERYTHING in sight!!!!
I have been doing pretty good most weekdays, but fall apart whenever I have any kind of social events, which has been 1-2 times a week lately.
I am getting SO sick of this rollercoaster, and I am planning on getting off now!!!!
I am going back to what got me to 159 in December last year, which was partially WW, but mostly accountability!!!! So, I am going to blog more often!!!!
I re-set my SP goal for 155 by December, which is about a pound loss per week. It increased my daily calorie allowance, so I am hoping that eating more will help prevent my crazy binges.
I was 174 this AM, and I hope to be close to 170 soon, because that is what I put as my starting weight in SP.

    Well Welcome Back- I do that too sometimes... I think well I ate bad yesterday and didnt gain weight so why not eat bad again. Or I havent worked out in a week and havent gained weight and then I get on long breaks.

    You got this!! Slow and steady wins the race. Ha!! You know how to run, you know how to train. Just think of your nutrition as another training plan. That has helped me in the past month.

    I know exactly what you mean by the all-or-nothing mindset! For me it was a result of my perfectionism and I had to fight it in every area of my life in order to get rid of the mindset in my weight loss journey, too. If that's the case with you, start fighting it! We can't be perfect all the time. Perfect is the worse enemy of good, so take it out of your vocabulary.

    I know what you mean. I used to do the same thing all the time. Up and down every few months or so. It sounds like you have a good plan in place. I'm sure you can reach your goal by December.

    I'm sorry that you're on the rollercoaster, as I know how frustrating it is. I have the exact same attitude problems that you do and it doesn't do any good! I do look forward to hearing from you more often, though!

    I'm glad you're back and I KNOW you can do this! Accountability definitely helps A LOT. I notice that when people are struggling they oftentimes hide away from Spark. They don't log in... they don't spin the wheel... they don't update their statuses. They just aren't really thinking about health. So, DON'T HIDE. Just stay right here and get all the encouragement and support you need. We are here for you!!!

    I have tough days like that too, where you just make one bad choice and want to give up. Keep updating us. I know we can all keep each other accountable. My favorite saying from Indygirl goes something like, "If you got a speeding ticket would you break all the rest of the traffic laws? Why throw away the rest of your day just because of that pizza you had for lunch?" I remind myself of that saying, especially on days when I am at a social gathering and have a weak moment.

    That "all or nothing" thing always gets me, too. "Well crap, I had a mini reese's cup...I may as well eat half this key lime pie while I'm at it..." That makes perfect sense, right? Ugh...
