Day 3, almost done.
I have to make an admission here. Day 2 was a total flop. I rocked day 1, though!
I've been battling a pretty severe sinus infection the past few weeks. It downright sucks some days, to be honest. Yesterday was just one of those days.
My son had the stomach flu Saturday/Sunday and stayed home from school Mon-Tues, so I was caring for him. I wasn't sleeping well to top it off and was just a mess yesterday. We had take-out for lunch and dinner. I blew off my workouts. And I didn't care. I didn't go crazy, but I didn't stay on-program.
But, what really threw me for a loop was my attitude this morning. I didn't care that I'd strayed yesterday, only 1 full day into my new program. I picked myself up and carried on like it didn't happen. It felt liberating and allowed me to focus on the day at hand, not what happened yesterday. I didn't beat myself up.
I have kicked day 3's butt! I did my workout this morning after having a lovely breakfast of a honeycrisp apple and pb. It was tough. Well, some of the moves were tough. But I powered through them, sometimes resting for a beat (or two).
I've tracked my food. Recorded it both on SP and in my journal.
I'm anxious to keep going. Anxious to start seeing results. Anxious to fit into those jeans the next size down!
