I am not going to eat food that doesn't taste good

Monday, October 22, 2012

When we were at a restaurant a couple days ago, pancakes came with my breakfast. I ordered multigrain pancakes, hoping they would be similar to IHOP's harvest multigrain pancakes. They weren't. I warmed up the leftovers for breakfast today. They were just as dry and tasteless as they were the first time. I threw them away. I am not a garbage can.

I am not going to eat food that doesn't taste good. Yes, it is wasteful. Wearing these extra pounds and paying with my health is more wasteful. Wasting food is contrary to my frugal nature and upbringing. 'Waste not, want not.' I will try to make good use of my resources, but I am not going to clean my plate if food doesn't taste good.

That is a great point. Eating healthy does not have to taste bad. emoticon

You know what?? Better to waste it than to "waist" it!! That's what I say to myself...
I don't like to be wasteful either, but sometimes I have been given baked goods after a church meeting or some similar situation, and they don't want to waste it and REFUSE to take no for an answer...but guess what?? I am one of those people that can't have certain things in the house. If no one else wants it, I have been known to slip it in the garbage right there before I leave the building. Wasteful? Yes, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do!! Keep on Sparking!!

I agree with you. But we have lots of options of other things to eat.
