Time to Get Back to the Basics!

I recently got all my physical exams completed and found out all is not good. One that I already knew, my weight. I am officially obese until I drop to 179 pounds. My cholesterol is too high too (237) I am learning how I need to eat to lower that, as well as my weight. Well, at least my exercise is plentiful. I hope to be 165 pounds by April. I would like to see 135 pounds again by the end of next year. I have not gone scuba diving in over 2 years since I have been too big for my dry suit. I want to dive again next year!

I have a new project in the works. I will be writing a book detailing my husband's and my adventures, complete with my photos. I hope to have it finished by September next year.

I have been active much of my adult life and find the challenges of staying that way are increasing as I get older. When I am not scuba diving I love bicycling either with my husband or alone. We love hiking together at state parks too! I pair that with my passion for photography, which I pursue when not at work. I plan on buying a new camera , a Canon SX40HS. I will be able to take my photography to new heights!

    So many of us have those problems with weight, cholesterol, triglycerides etc. A lot of never know it until it's too late. We need to make a point of having our blood etc checked at least once a year. It doesn't take that long to get it done; it's just a matter of doing it. Thanks for the reminder.
