Counting The days and Calcium Intake

I hate to admit it but I am counting down the days til i see the surgeon and he says it is ok for me to go back to my regular exercise program. It takes so much more time to walk off the calories then to do circuit training the way I have been. I have to start fixing my slacks I have; most of them are too long. I hate being short and not finding enough slacks in my length that are reasonable. Tomorrow we will be going to a funeral for a former pastor of our church. He was a great man of God. He died of brain cancer recently. His wife was a wonderful woman too. I remember when he came to our former house after my husband died; that same night. His wife showed up at our house a day or 2 later and gave us her support and a book to read. He will be missed by a lot of people. The showing is from 3-6 and afterwards there will be a lunch served. I know that there will be a lot of people there who used to go to our church. It will be nice catching up with everyone there; even though the occasion is sad. Also on a another note;i cannot seem to get the recommended amount of calcium in my diet these days. I am always short on that end and on fiber.

    If you happen to like spinach, it can be a convenient boost to calcium and fiber. (1/2 c. spinach = 28% DV of calcium and 6 fiber) Some people mix it into a smoothie. Personally I don't like it that way, but I do like it plain - either as salad greens or cooked.
