One Mile! And Josh Groban...

Monday, December 17, 2012

Wow! I jogged a mile!

Today was my walk/jog interval day.
So I walked two laps (3miles) and then started my interval lap.

Except I didn't feel like looking at my watch every 30 seconds or so to see if I had reached the 90 second mark... It always makes me feel so much more tired when I realized that I still have 45 or 30 more seconds to go... I decided I would just do a really slow jog and see how far I could get... catch my breath and do it again. So I did.

I was able to jog 3/4 of my neighborhood, which means that I jogged for a mile! Not quite all at once, but I only had a few places where I had to walk... And I caught my breath back much easier than I have before! YAY! I will take all the success I can get!

I ended up just having cheese and bread for lunch (bad, I know) because I delayed my outdoor exercise until the rain stopped, and by the time I was done with the exercise and a shower, it was already pretty late in the afternoon. But I had half an apple and some leftover pear slices with dinner, so I think it worked out okay.

I am so in love with Josh Groban's music! I have every one of his CDs and I am eagerly awaiting the February release date for his 6th album(All That Echoes). He recently released the first single(Brave) for the new album and I have been listening to it non-stop!

So between wonderful music and new milemarkers(hehheh) in my exercise, I feel like today was a success!
