I'm a 2012 Loser!

On May 23, 2012 I hopped back on the weight loss journey train. I re-joined TOPS which stands for Take Off Pounds Sensibly. Yesterday was my chapter's last weigh-in of the year. I wanted so badly to end the year off with a loss. Guess what. I DID IT! I lost 2.4 lbs. this week. I lost weight over Christmas. I am so proud of myself. Since that day in May, I have lost 14.6 lbs. total. I'm at my lowest weight of the year. Woo hoo!

I'm kicking things up a notch for 2013. First things first. My next goal is to have a loss on my first weigh in of the new year on January 2, 2013. Also coming in 2013, I will run my first 5k. I haven't signed up for it yet and I'm not ready to run it, but I know I will be. I'm aiming for June - August. I'll be ready before then. Those are just the months of the specific runs I've got my eye on.

A very generous friend gave me the gift of money so I could buy a running outfit. I managed to get a New Balance tech shirt, pants and jacket for exactly what she gave me. The pants are a little too tight for me to wear just yet so for now I remain in jeans. I'll be starting the Zombies, Run! 5k app soon. It's a lot more fun than Couch to 5k. My boyfriend is getting me a couple pairs of running socks and my first pair of running sneakers. I'm so excited!

    I also am a 2012 loser. I set two fitness goals for 2013, and one is to complete 3 5K's, but for me, it will be enough just to walk them. Glenn
