Life on an Arkansas Farm-Greeting the New Year and remembering the Old Year
Tuesday, January 01, 2013
The old saying that time goes faster the older you get must be true. I was surprised to see that the last time I wrote a blog was in 2011. I missed 2012 totally.
As I'm sitting here at the computer, the dogs are coming in to say "Good Morning". The younger pack follows my son around and the elder pack follows me but they all will come to say "Good Morning" when they get up. I wish all people were as loving as the dogs are.
I'm really glad 2012 is over. We've had 3 of our furbabies go to the Rainbow Bridge; Sara, Kiana, and my lovely Gypsy Rose. Thank goodness I still have the dogs, donkeys and all the cats. I cannot imagine how lonesome it would be if I didn't have all the others.
Weight loss in 2012 was non-exhistant. I stayed on a plateau all year. I hope to do better this year. Diet wise I did fairly well. I guess I just need to get more exercise. Yea, right!!
The rain we had yesterday is gone and I'm really ready for some warmer weather. So are my donkeys. They sure hated the rain and snow we've been having the last couple of weeks. We had to coax them out of the barn when it snowed. They really hate to get their tootsies wet.
I'll restart introducing our dogs in the coming weeks. Can't forget the cats either.
Have a great New Year, everyone!
