Day 422: ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz
...

Monday, January 07, 2013

That kind of says it all.

The last week or so I've overslept more days than not. I set the alarm the same time I have for months (years, probably - I am a creature of habit), but inevitably I turn it off at some point, often before it rings.

I fall back asleep for another half-hour or 45 minutes. What does that tell us?

Kind of obvious, ain't?

So I'm working on shifting the schedule around a little. Himself wants to sleep later in the mornings. Nuh-uh. I mean, if he wants to, fine. I have no problem with that.

But I like waking up early and feeling that I have so much time in which to get things done. The only workable solution to my mind is going to bed a half-hour to 45 minutes earlier.

Funny how much mileage I can get out of - I'm turning in early. G'night, Sparklers, wherever you are!

I'm a total morning person emoticon and, luckily, so is my husband, so it's up between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. most days and to bed by 10:00 or 11:00. Sometimes the dog has a different opinion and I find myself on the street at 4:15 a.m. like this morning.

I don't usually post to my own blogs, but I found it interesting to see who the early risers and who the night-owls are--!

You're a great bunch of Sparklers, regardless of who gets up with the sun - and who burns the midnight oil, lol...

My schedule is also messed up after christmas – one of the things I "gave" myself for being self-emplyed was getting rid of alarm-clock, only using it when there is a plane or train to catch... that means I got to get to bed in time to wake up at six which I like...but today it is again seven so I will probably have to use the alarm for a while to get it right again...

I'm a night owl and would rather stay up late and sleep in! My mind and body both function better when I do that and I'm still getting 7 - 8 hours of sleep. I figure being able to do this is one of the perks of being retired.

I like mornings also. I like the quiet before the house wakes up, but it is hard to make myself go to bed early.

I feel off kilter when I sleep late. Always remember the saying "Burning daylight". There's so much going on in the mornings... love to watch the sunrise while I have my morning coffee.
