Banana bread.....

I feel like today was a successful day. I weighed in yesterday morning and was feeling pretty confident in myself yesterday and today.
I had a reminder on my calendar set to go off at 5:30pm tonight to remind me to make a good decision for supper. And that I was in control.
Wellllllll.....I got home from work not feeling very hungry. I had my snack of string cheese at 2:30pm and left work at 3:45pm. So, I made supper for the girls and then decided to make banana bread for my husband's coworkers. Wrong decision (I'm not saying bad decision because it wasn't bad, just wrong).
I love to bake, LOVE to bake, so when I do, I often send the goods with my DH to work. I was doing pretty well but I KNEW I should have eaten something before that delicious bread came out of the oven. It smelled incredible. And I added mini chocolate chips to it and it LOOKED divine. It has bananas in it, it can't be that bad!!!
So, I cut myself a slice, an end piece. The end pieces of my bread are the best parts. When I grease the pan, I sprinkle sugar over the butter and so it gets crystallized and so YUMMY. Of course I couldn't stop after just one slice. I ended up having 4 very thin slices, but all pieces had butter on them too. FOUR PIECES WITH BUTTER!!! UGH! I know better.
And so now, I sit here and blog. I knew I had to do something. My kids are reading in bed, but after they go to bed, I am closing the kitchen and heading to my room to do my own reading. And the banana bread will be gone in the morning. Le sigh.
I can't believe I just wrote an entire blog about banana bread. Hopefully someone understands the struggle.
Okay, moving on. Thanks for the distraction loves!! XOXO!!
