Hydrate or Die!!

I realized yesterday as I was eating and it was not satisfying my 'hunger' that I was not hungry at all! I was very thirsty!

For some reason I've been very thirsty at night, just about guzzling 2 of my water bottles (4 glasses) every night. I could not figure out why till yesterday. During the morning I drink my coffee, then it goes to unsweet tea with lemon to flavor. I keep my water bottle out but in the last month I've only been drinking it in the middle of the night (due to cough) or right before bed. Draining a lot of water all at once is not the same as having it steadily throughout the day. I'm reminded of the saying for the camel back's water bladder's (the things you wear on your back when hiking and such) Hydrate or die!. emoticon

So I've ended up still eating healthy (ok, I had one bite of BBQ turkey, but just one!) but eating more so I've gained 1.5 pounds emoticon emoticon

But at least now that I know that I'm doing it, I can do something about it! I had no idea why I was so hungry before. I forgot that the two could feel very much the same, hunger and thirst.

On another note, I've been sick and going to bed early. I do end up getting more sleep, but I also end up waking up at 0400 or earlier, wide awake. I like the wide awake part, not so much the time! So today I think I'll take a nap and then make myself stay up to my usual 10 pm. I'm not letting myself take naps during the week, unless I end up coming down with a really high fever, so the weekend is the only time for this, and I hope to cut naps out all together as I lose weight and get in shape.
