Some quotes I like

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.
John Burroughs

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me'.
Erma Bombeck

A man sooner or later discovers that he is the master-gardener of his soul, the director of his life.
James Allen

My formula for living is quite simple. I get up in the morning and I go to bed at night. In between, I occupy myself as best I can.
Cary Grant

Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.
Albert Einstein

It is not length of life, but depth of life.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Every man dies. Not every man really lives.
William Wallace

Some of these quotes, especially the last one, really applies to my dad, he really lived, he pretty much done just about everything and went loads of places. I'm so proud of that fact.
The loss of my sister and my dad has really made me hate life, I find that I just keep on keeping on, which sucks. Life only gives you what you can handle, but I can't handle being obese anymore, nor can I with losing the weight.
Because I am depressed I find that quotes from this site:
really helps me just get by for a little while longer. I share them with my mum aswell.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I'm sorry for the hiatus but, like I said, my dad got rushed into intensive care early in the morning of 5th December and passed away on Christmas day.
Again, thank you.

Ecclesiastes 3 A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

9 What do workers gain from their toil?
10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race.
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.
13 That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.

Make your sister and father proud by really living. It is hard having a parent die. My father died suddenly at 53 and I was 24. Hugs

These are wonderful quotes. I loved them.

I have lost many close loved ones too. I do my best to live a good life because they would want me to.

I am so sorry about your father. I hope that your memories of him comfort you and that you dedicate your life to living it to the fullest like he did

Thank you, my sister passed away when I was 11, in 2002, she was 12, we were like twins, she had a rare brain tumour and died of pneumonia due to a weakened immune system due to this. My dad had pulmonary aspergillious, a rare fungal infection, that's hard to diagnose and treat, he got rid of it once but then it came back with avengencw and we think it spread aswell. He also suffered from emphysema which made it doubly worse. Thank you for the support.
