Made to Crave

I picked up a book yesterday a friend had been talking about. It's Made to Crave by Lysa T... something. Anyhow, I found at Half Price books (SCORE!). I've only read two chapters, but so far very good. It's a very differnt take on "craving". Anyhow, I was reading along and I came across a very short sentence that I had to read over a few times and then just put the book down and think on it. Nothing earth shattering, and I've heard the same concept before, but I suppose this time, it just really spoke to me. "You crave what you eat."

Anyways.. for me, it's the same with water. I used to HATE water, but my friend made me drink it. I got to where it was tolerable... LOL Anyways, now that I do drink more water, I crave it more.... same should be said for less process foods... more fruits & veggies, less donuts. ugh.

    That's an interesting way to think of it - I wonder how long you have to go eating certain things before you start craving them consistently? I know that if I eat some things too much too quickly, I actually have the opposite reaction and cant' stand them for a long time (goes with processed or natural food, or certain recipes/meals). But I have noticed that when I'm eating healthier, I do start cravings fresh foods that I don't even particularly like (like cucumber, for example). Strange.
