I'm Okay With Not Trying So Hard

Thursday, March 07, 2013

Hello SparkFriends!

I've had a nice day today!

Have I walked six miles today? Nope.
Have I severely limited my caloric allowances today? Nope. In fact, I went over!
Have I beaten myself up over my choices today? Nope!

I slept in. I went to the library and picked up a bunch of books. I enjoyed the sunshine and nicer temperatures while just being out and about. I found out that Keebler is now making a cheaper version of the Girl Scout Samoas called Coconut Dreams. (We were actually at the store to buy ingredients to make a Samoa cookie bar cake for my birthday on Saturday) They are VERY yummy! Hence the over the caloric allowances... emoticon

I feel relaxed and refreshed!

I am on Day 7 of #StreakingintoSpring and No Snacking After Dinnertime.
I'm still hanging in here!

But I AM making sure to take time to rest and renew myself. I've made it this far and I'm not giving up! If I push too hard all at once I will wear myself and my determination out.

I know that I am becoming healthier, and to me, being healthier includes not being obsessed with exercise and my calories. "Cheat" Days are allowed and encouraged. Just not all too often.

Anyway, I'm just letting you know that I'm still here, still striving towards the goal, and I'm having a great day!

Although this would make it just a BIT better!

Creative Writing Prompt for Today:
What would happen if you switched the genders of the main characters for your favorite Disney movie? (Star Wars is now included)

*Lol. One of my friends on Facebook posted a response to the prompt.
"Lucy, I am your mother."

Interesting creative writing prompt. At first i read it, "who would you be if you switched the genders from your favorite disney movie characters?"
My automatic response was Gastan from Beauty and the Beast. This is mildly concerning.

In any case, love your blog. It's so easy to get carried away and start obsessing and going insane; I have to WORK OUT. I have to eat 1200 CALORIES!!! BLARGH.

For most of us, the whole point is to be a happier, healthier you. I'm glad you found a good balance.

    Today's prompt:

I had to think about this one for a while. It just wouldn't work. I don't know how it would be for a man to be stuck in a tall tower and have to let his hair down so his 'mother' could climb up??? I guess he could have a long beard. Now, that would be funny!

There would be no problem with the thief being a girl and coming to the rescue.

Yep, it just might work that way...

"Raphael, Raphael, let down your golden beard."

Nice Blog. The whole idea behind Spark People are small changes that can be part of your lifestyle, not dramatic changes that you cannot maintain.

Re: Character Changing - If Mary Poppins had been a man, she would not have had room in her pockets to carry all the goodies that were in the "Mary Poppins" bag!! emoticon
