Today I completed the SparkCoach Plateau Busting Program.
I'm not sure if I would say that I plateaued, more that I lost the initial 5kg, and wanted to maintain that loss. And I did. But now I want to lose a further 5kg, and maintain that loss.
The Plateau Busting Program was timely because I don't feel that I have got the same level of zest or umph to begin another period of losing weight. But I know that losing another size would make it easier to shop for clothes, or fit into existing clothes - better for the budget.
The Program prompted me each day for a NSV. I wasn't able to do this every day, but it did help me to identify that I have a lot more energy. In addition, I can say I enjoy the challenges of new exercises and mastering them.
Having said that, at the moment my motivation is being sucked up by not sleeping very well. Hopefully this will improve as my partner's fractured shoulder heals in the coming weeks. Fortunately, I have reserves of energy to get me through the day - thanks SparkPeople, but just don't feel that I enough to start something else right now.
So I may have to plateau or maintain for a few more weeks or months, until I get enough hours of unbroken sleep.
I will continue to track my fitness minutes and food, and established habits:

Eat within calorie range

Eat at timely intervals, i.e. don't eat lunch late.

Do a SparkPeople exercise or video everyday concentrating on strength and building muscle. I'm doing this in the morning before I cycle to work. I have learnt that doing cardio then strength training is better, but I'm just too tired after work to want to do any further exercise having just rode home.

Be active by taking the stairs, standing when talking on the phone, and visit colleagues rather than send them email. Note: This sounds tiring to me at the moment, having not slept very well last night.

Start to reduce the amount of time at the screen.

Set time aside to practise the stress management exercises I learnt last year.
If I can maintain or keep up the above healthy habits I'm sure I'll be ok. The only extra thing I need to add is to find ways to improve the quality and quantity of sleep within the limitations of current situation
