I feel like I am making forward progress, despite being hungry and giving in to snacking after dinner the last two days. When I snacked, I only had one snack, which is much better than my previous habit! I am continuing to feel like my body is changing for the better. I am wearing shorts and contemplating cute outfits, which never happened when I was doing everything I could to cover my body in the hopes that no one would notice how big I had become. My shirts look longer and leaner because they don't go over a big belly anymore! (I still have a bit of a belly, but it's much smaller than before! Woot!)
I did a brisk 4.5 mile walk, then did week one of the C25k intervals again today! I completed it! Whew. I was very tired by the end of it. Since it was warm today (75!) I made sure to take a bottle of water outside and hide it in the rosemary bush for when I passed by the house each lap. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! And I took pictures for you!
The flox has filled out and now looks like a mini-carpet!
The flox sits on the low end of the bed that has my weeping willow tree that I asked for on my 10th birthday... I had visions of myself sitting under it's sweeping branches, relaxing and reading a book... it'll still be awhile before it gets to be as big as my imagination said it would!
But it's leafing out quite nicely now.
I think this is a Japanese Tulip Tree... it always looks astounding, no leaves, just flowers, then the flowers fade and the leaves pop out! We have two of these trees and the other one has paler pink flowers. Unfortunately it bloomed first and became a victim of a cold snap. The flowers all turned brown overnight... But this one is still blooming!
The rosemary is blooming, too!
I hide my water bottle under the shade of the rosemary and pick it up briefly as I pass by the house. It really helps keep the water cooler while I'm out walking!
