Am I Healthier

Today on Spark Coach Spark Guy, Chris Downey talked about noticing other ways, besides the movement of the scale, that let me know that I am getting healthier. A spring in my step, shiny hair and nice skin, more energy in the morning, clothes fitting better. I have to say honestly that I've not noticed any of these things yet. In fact, today, I could barely crawl out of my bedroom to the kitchen. When a person has an autoimmune disease topped off by a major mental illness where exhaustion is a major symptom of both and also a side effect of the medicines I takem it makes it exceptionally hard to make these changes.
Now three years ago, when I was gung ho into Spark People, I did notice all of these benefits. Maybe it's just too soon for me to see these things. Maybe I haven't been consistent enough with following my food plan and exercising regularly for me to see these benefits. I desperately want to feel good like this Today I feel so lousy. I'm exhausted. Unmotivated.
Maybe today I will go outside and walk....just for fifteen minutes. I surely can do that, can't I ? Maybe the fresh air will chase the cobwebs out of my head. I really look forward to noticing that I'm doing well, that I'm feeling stronger and healthier.
Going to go outside now for a walk. Going to eat an apple and peanut butter first. I need to do this Because I'm not feeling good, strong or energized. Time to take control with a positive change.
