Funeral last Friday and Depression Today

Tuesday, April 02, 2013

Last Friday we went to the funeral of someone who used to go to our church, It was a very emotional time for us because it was the very same week that seven years ago I lost a husband and she lost her dad. A lot of the people who left our church showed up and i am ambivalent about them. Suffice it to say that I have very strong feelings about my church and pastor. The parking lot was pretty full that day and how i wished it could be that way all the time. We had only 36 people stay for our Easter breakfast yesterday. The church was not even half full. I am depresssed today again and I do not even care to go and vote. I do not know anything about any of the nominees. Need to call that woman back for a job since she never called me again last Tuesday. But i am like it will not make any difference anyway. My main problem is i have no transportation and most people do not seem to care to help anyone out these days.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. It's these tough long and depressing days that will help you appreciate the brighter days to come. Stay focused on your job search and do your best to remain encouraged. This to shall pass!!!

I have faith in you. You are a strong woman. This is a temporary setback. I accept you exactly as you are and there is no need for you to change.

It's understandable about how the event triggered your downward spiral. We are all praying for you. I care about you.

Now, you must use all of your power to think of if this was happening to someone else, what would you tell them to do...what steps should they take...

I'm here for you and praying for you now.

I'm sorry for the death of the one from your church, and for the timing. I know it makes your own loss fresh again. "Funny" how people turn up for Easter, Christmas and funerals, but they somehow just can't make it to church the rest of the time. I gather that today is your primary day? Ours will be in a matter of weeks. I wish you good luck with the job, and getting transportation. I'm sorry you're depressed today. I pray God will comfort you and Jenny.
