I'm a bit sad and overwhelmed by the events in Boston yesterday. I took the bus to Boston to visit a friend yesterday afternoon. I arrived after the explosion. I knew little about what happened. I saw police standing outside the train stations. The streets were quieter than usual. It was almost eerie. When I got home late last night, I read the news. It's shocking. I feel numb inside. My stomach is in knots.

I hope to go to the gym later today and work out these feelings. I'm watched "My 600 lb Life - Melissa" on my computer. It's hard to relate to her problems. I was given so much emotional abuse for being what my family, doctors and associates (classsmates, coworkers) saw as fat. I had only been a little overweight those years if at all. It's hard to even imagine what it is like for someone so much bigger. I lost years of my life, not being good enough. I hate the waste. I'm glad that Melissa's life is better. I should have felt hopeful after seeing that, not down.

We have to look at the fact that most of these killings were done by people whose mental faculties were not normal. They did test on some of the serial killers in the past, and most of the findings were showing brain abnormalities which makes sense
a person in their right mind would not even think of killing people let alone children.
The hardest part for me to handle is how the media makes sensationalism out of the fact. They go on and on and on. They need to report it, then go away. Save it for the newscast in the evening. In some cases these nut jobs love that, and after watching numerous CSI's and having a friend that is a CSI agent, tell me that the person or
persons responsible are usually not far away from the crime scene, because they get off watching people suffer, and the media go bonkers about it, and it also adds to the thrill for the person that caused it.

When I heard the news about Boston my first thought was "Stop the world I want to get off." Killings at schools and now this, this is becoming almost a norm to see this kind of stuff every few months in the news. It makes me sick.

Let's all be kind to ourselves and kind to others and maybe it will resonate to the rest of the world. I can only hope.

I just disgusts me to no end. What is wrong with this world. Although I agree it should be reported - but do they have to run it into the ground!
