183- Excuses are tools of uselessness
Monday, May 06, 2013
When I was in college, I pledged a sorority. We had to do alot of silly things and the leaders would not accept excuses. "Excuses are tools of uselessness and those who use them are nothing and amount to nothingness."
One of my coworkers died on Friday after battling colon cancer for 5 months. This woman was 56, kind, gentle, healthy, and came to work with "bluebirds on her shoulder" everyday at 6:45am.
I am saddended by this, but at the same time I am motivated to do all that I can while I can.
Believing that I cannot lose weight is an excuse for not losing weight.
Making bad nutritional choices or not working out because I don't feel like it is bologna or baloney, an excuse.
I am going to a Food & Wine Festival in a few weeks. I WILL be at my goal weight of 175 on day one of the festival. I will enjoy it, and get back on track when I return.
From now until then, there is no reason for me not to achieve my goal.
Life is short, do what you can while you can and as many times as you please.
