Resistance, Persistance, and Perseverence

Thursday, May 09, 2013

Last night I had Bible Study. I always go to my friend's house on the afternoon prior to the Study and I eat dinner with her and her family. I did not want to have to eat what she made yesterday as i knew it would not fit in with my diet. So in the afternoon I made a pot of carrot soup and put some in a container. I also brought some pineapple and strawberries for dessert. I ate some of her salad as well. Fortunately after all that, I was stuffed so was not terribly tempted by the apple crisp warm from the oven and vanilla ice cream that she pulled out for the dessert forthe Bible STudy.

I didn't weigh today.....will wait for a couple of days to see what has been happening.
I would like to walk today but yesterday it poured all day long and today it is supposed to storm again. Maybe if we bring umbrellas we can catch a space in between storms, I don't know.

I desperately need to buy a new bra but I am holding out until I get a bit smaller. I don't want to buy one and the have to replace it right away because it has become too big. That will be a major reward for me....getting a new bra. I think I've been wearing the same two for about 6 years now. I'd say "It's time!" wouldn't you?

So day by day, I resist temptation, Persist in my new eating plan, and persevere in pursing my goals. That's the way to get where I'm going.. I will make it there. I will. I must.

Great idea to take some of your own food. I'm sure she can understand that you are sticking by your goals. Sounds like you are on the right track to complete your journey to resist, persist and persevere!
