Gotta keep pushing forward

Thursday, May 09, 2013

Every day is a new day to begin again. So with that I have decided to make some changes in my goals. Most are the same, a few new.

1st Goal is 4000 or more steps each day. emoticon

2nd goal is to exercise for ten minutes each day. emoticon

3rd goal is to focus on the positive - Each day I will repeat a new affirmation , or positive
word. Today that affirmation is from Louise Hay "I forgive myself for not being
perfect. I am living the best way I know how" emoticon

I will also listen to self improvement tapes every night
Be Grateful
Keep a positive attitude
Negative thoughts must go!!

4th Love myself. emoticon

This all sounds so easy, but I really struggle with some of it. Especially the exercise.
Exercise is the key component of changing my lifestyle, in addition to eating more fruit & veggies. I really need to push through the road blocks. Just keep telling myself you can do this. It's important so I will find a way to succeed.

Let me just throw this out there for your to think about.... You ARE succeeding! You are setting goals for yourself, improving a little everyday, NOT giving up. Success is not achieved when you reach your goals. Success is acheived everyday that you try. You are successful, my friend!

As one with similar struggles, I agree that these things are not easy even though they may look that way.
Affirmations can be powerful - great idea!
Have you tried making an "appointment" - an actual written appointment on your calendar - for the 10 minutes of exercise? I just thought of the idea this minute...
...OK I have now penciled in my exercise (type of exercise for me, rather than number of minutes) for tomorrow morning. We'll see if it works...
