A moment from today

So, I had a very active Friday and Saturday last week: crazy intense boot camp Friday morning, 5K race Saturday morning (possibly in record time) and then a scavenger hunt around Denver where I walked and ran 6.5 miles. I was still sore for Monday's morning boot camp and then STILL sore for this morning's boot camp (Wed). Here's how the conversation with my trainer went:

"Yeah, I'm still sore from the weekend maybe? I mean I came to boot camp on Monday, walked three miles at work, then rode my bike four miles after work and ran four miles after work Tuesday. but none of those things are outside my normal routine."

Did you read the last part of that sentence? "none of those things are outside my normal routine" I HAVE A NORMAL ROUTINE OF FITNESS!! And I don't hardly blink an eye at it! (I mean, don't get me wrong, I really didn't want to go running, but I did it!)

Today's boot camp was intense again (tabata!) and I was still sore after it. I managed to get in some good stretching though and miraculously (don't understand how) after the stretching and sitting at my desk for about two hours, my soreness is gone! I don't understand it but I'm happy nonetheless.
