I went to a Peers' Support meeting this morning. I felt like all I could do was complain so I went for a long walk. I walked to an arts and craft store and brought myself a coloring book.

While I was walking, I thought about going to a all you can eat restaurant for lunch and pigging out since I was depressed. I thought about it. Eating too much wouldn't have helped. It would have only gave me a bellyache. I went back to the Peers' group happier. Then, I took the bus home and had a normal size lunch.

I'm proud that I didn't give into temptation and feed my feeling.

Excellent choices.. I loved it! (Also was touched by the knowledge that though your healthy & thin, you still feel urges like I DO to comfort yourself with food; I guess those feelings & choices never go away, but do they get easier, do they come less often??? ..I will have to take stock of this as a binge for me can mean my un-doing ..and I would hope that it would get easier the longer I keep the weight off?)

I still need to work on the exercise part of my getting better, healthier... I'm still too inconsistant.. but, I have lost 44 lbs so I'm still working on it.

Great job!! I love that you bought a color book too - don't they bring back the fondest of childhood memories? I'm so pleased to hear you were able to rescue yourself from the "blue funk" as I call it!
