One Step Forward

Friday, May 24, 2013

I ordered some new shirts last week. One of the shirts I ordered was sleeveless. I NEVER wear anything sleeveless due to my big arms. emoticon I decided to try one to see if I liked it. It gets really hot here in the summer. emoticon I am usually sweating to death in my 3/4 sleeve shirts. I want to do some walking after my knee surgery. Maybe this kind of shirt will be more comfortable.

I put it on today and it is okay. emoticon Yes, my arms are big and flapping, but it is much cooler. I like the size of the arm holes....my underwear is not showing. I think I would like a knit fabric better.

It is a small step, but it is a step. emoticon

Okay...that was a very small step forward. emoticon I picked up my kids today in my spiffy new shirt. Their looks were not good. emoticon I value honesty...if done in a kind and constructive way. I think they meant well. emoticon

Youngest one pointed that my arms are two different colors. emoticon The forearm and down are a peach shade and the upper arm and shoulder are as white as snow. Middle daughter said that it was not "flattering". emoticon The oldest daughter said that I looked like Honey, Boo Boo's mom. emoticon

I am going to change my shirt now. I think I will save it for home. emoticon
