This morning I wanted a change from my usual smoothie so I used the protein smoothie recipe from the Eating Clean Cookbook. It was delicious, just took a little longer to make because it has lots of ingredients. It's one of those things that TASTES healthy (in a good way) and I felt more equipped to face my day once I'd drunk it.
Then. Exercise. I put on my workout clothes and did the core workout on the FIt Firm and Fired Up DVD followed by 10 high speed minutes on the recumbent bike. I didn't have my music or a dvd to watch so ten minutes was all I could stand to do on the bike. I really should just have gone upstairs for my iPod. Maybe I'll do some more later or maybe I'll go for a walk if my daughter is up for it. She may not be as yesterday she wasn't feeling good.
I should go and put together a pot of chili in the slow cooker. Think I will do that. My DH was talking longingly of the chili I used to make. I should definitely make a pot today. Especially since I am not getting my groceries until tomorrow and am limited in ingredients.
My shoulder is really hurting today. Now that I've decided to get it fixed it will be hard to wait these last few months of pain. Oh well that will just make me glad to get it done and will make the pain of the surgery easier to endure. I know when I had my hip surgery, just to have the pain of the bad joint gone was such a relief that the surgical pain seemed like nothing (that is , after the first night out of the OR....that first night is gonna be hell no matter what you do).
We may have an element burned out of our hot water heater....we shall see. The water got cold on my husband in his shower last night. I will have to go now and check it out and make sure it is okay.
