So I joined Downsize Fitness NY and work with a trainer named Julie. She is AWESOME! She pushes me, but understands when my body will not allow me to go any further. She does nutritional sit-downs with me and holds me accountable to my meals (no more buttered rolls for breakfast)! She sends me encouraging emails during the week to keep me on my game. It is awesome. I have had 5 sessions with her and I am feeling good. Realized that I need to STRETCH so I don't strain my muscles, I need to drink A LOT of water, more than I was consuming. And I have learned that getting fit is fun. The class is for folks who have at least 50 lbs. to lose, so these ladies are dedicated. They are motivating and we each have our own demons to deal with.... If you are in NY, Dallas or Chicago, I think you should look them up. You are worth it. If you do all the workouts and nutrition sit downs, it works out to $250 a month, which really works out to 12 workout classes and 2 nutrition sit downs and weekly weigh ins, monthly measurements. Its a little steep, since I know you can do a planet fitness or some other gym, but the support is fabulous and having a trainer work you and teach you the correct way to work yourself is priceless! I will keep you posted.
