Big Decision

Well, I already made the BIG BIG decision... the next one has been how much, and who I share this journey with? So... I deleted ALOT of people from my friends list, and keep it somewhat limited for the time being....

I had gastric sleeve surgery. I'm not ashamed of the surgery so to speak, I'm embarrassed and ashamed that I was so obese that I qualified and needed it! I have tried since the weight started piling on 10 years ago to lose it. I know how it happened, but let's be honest... I wasn't going to start going out clubbing again (dancing several times a week in college kept the weight off!) and go back to working retail. I had lost some weight, but it was by working out three hours a day and constantly denying myself. It wasn't fun, and it wasn't sustainable....

so....

I never considered WLS, until three other friends had it done this past fall. I was amazed at the results, and they encouraged me to look into it. I did and 6 months later... I went under the knife....

This past Wednesday, I underwent a gastric sleeve surgery. The procedure went very well, and the hospital and staff were wonderful. I cannot recommend them enough! Foundation Surgical Hospital of SA. I would love to give you a "weight loss" number, but of course.... I started my period on Friday, so I'm a bit bloated from that. So, I will just have to wait to do an official weigh in next week. :)
My parents are currently in town helping me and of course my husband is doing a wonderful job as well! I truly do feel like a pampered princess.
