Area Flooding with pics

This past week we have got way to much rain, when it started I thought well we need the rain everything was extremely dry, well we got way more than we needed. I have never seen my hometown flood like this. We had an area flood in '96 (I think) but it didn't affect my childhood area where this one did so it hit closer to home for me. This flood did not affect my home other than a little water in my basement but no damage, but I did have friends who lost personal items that can not be replaced.

This makes me sick, so sad to think of how many people lost so many irreplaceable items.

Some people had to be rescued by small boats

It is horrible to see this on the news, but when it hits so close to home and people you know are affected by it there are no words to describe it. My children were in shock to see the damage from this storm, and then to drive by now and see all the dumpsters from people cleaning up and everything that they lost, it is so tragic.
