Renewing My Determination

I've been away for a while. And even when I was on Sparkpeople, I was just logging in to spin the wheel, not to log exercise or track my food. The results are not fun. When I left for Florida close to two months ago, I just lost all my motivation to do right by myself. I was eating and drinking whatever was close at hand, and lots of it. I wasn't exercising either.

So now I am dragging my butt back into gear, dealing with all of the hunger and munchy cravings, and feeling tired as my body reacquaints itself with exercise and healthy foods.

Saturday I went swimming for a little while at my cousins's house
Sunday I weighed in at 153.8 lbs, back up again. So I went for a 3 mile walk.
Monday I walked 3 miles and did 25 minutes of jogging intervals.
Today I am on day 9 of the 30 day squat challenge (I am attempting it again since I only made it to day 25 last time) and I am planning on going for a walk this evening. If it rains, I will pop in an exercise DVD. But I will exercise this evening.

So I am on a small roll, but sometimes that's all it takes to get me moving again. I am determined that I will not give up, that I will get to my goal. I may not get there by the time that I had originally planned, but I will get there!

But in other life news, I am ready for my grad school classes to start in 2 weeks, and I am mostly ready for my job as a substitute teacher to begin! And one of my best friends is coming home from 3 years out of the country this week, so we will be able to hang out again from now on! Another friend got a large roll in a play, so we are planning to go see her perform this weekend, and then have a big reunion party with some of the other girls we went to high school with the next weekend! Yay for party times! But I will have to be careful to keep on track so that I have wiggle room for the party.
