Farmer's and Flea Markets Sunday August 4
Tuesday, August 06, 2013
So, as those of you on my LIME team know, I went to the largest Farmer's Market in the state this past Sunday and one of our challenges this week is to post a blog so here it is.
The hubs had to work for a bit Sunday morning so we got started a bit later than I wanted to. That, in itself, would have been OK, but there was a mile plus back-up just getting into the parking lot. By the time we got there, there was less than an hour left and a lot of the produce was fairly well picked over. We did get some wonderful produce but not as much as I would have liked.
Here is a picture of my bounty.
All of this beautiful produce inspired me to make a couple of veggie pizzas on the grill for dinner.
Pear and blue cheese pizza.
Eggplant, onions, sliced tomatoes and fresh mozzarella.
After we went to the flea market, we decided to go to a nearby flea market. It was almost closing time there too, but I was able to pick up a few new sundresses for dirt cheap. I didn't really want to model them but I couldn't get a good picture of them otherwise so here they are.
I don't really like the way any of these pictures came out, I seemed to get a much better view in the mirror but it is what it is, right?
The old man and I had a great time and are planning another trip before the season ends. next time we'll go earlier.
