Six Week Post Op

Six Week Update

I had my six week appt last week. Went very well. Dr. was very happy with my progress and the fact that I was also keeping up with my physical fitness! Which leads me to my other big news! I signed up to do a ½ marathon in November. Now, before you get too "OH MY GOSH", I am just WALKING it, I have not miraculously turned into a runner. But, I think this will certainly help me to keep the momentum up with my weight loss. The doctor’s office is doing a training group for the ½ marathon, so I’m following their plan. Right now, I’m walking 2 miles on MWF and 3 miles on Saturday’s, but this Saturday I’m supposed to step it up to 4 miles for the next two weeks.
As you might expect I’ve had several positives from my surgery. My heartburn appears to be gone, my plantar fasciitis hasn’t bothered me in weeks, my blood pressure is awesome (116/66) and of course my weight loss!

Quick glance:
Pre-surgery: -12 lbs
Week 1: -11 lbs
Week 2: -6 lbs
Week 3: -4 lbs
Week 4: -4 lbs
Week 5: -3 lbs
Week 6: no loss
Week 7: -4 lbs

    That's awesome! Is it the RnR half you're doing? The other day I thought you were saying you were doing the same one I was in January. Confused! :)
