How I've weathered the ups and downs

I was not an overweight kid until I reached my early teens. I grew up on tv dinners and snack food. My Mom worked two jobs and was not a big cook so she would fill the pantry with cookies and snacks. The weight piled on over the years though I never felt fat or uncomfortable. The year before I got my drivers license I started walking everywhere and the weight came off. I stayed slim and discovered I enjoyed exercise though my food habits didn't get much better.
I never had any real problems with my weight until I was in my late 30's and knew it was time to get serious about my food. I tried many diets over the years and my weight went up and down. After reaching an all time high I joined Jenny Craig and that was my ticket to success. I've kept mostly within 5 lbs of the weight I loss 5 years ago but it's always a battle to stay there.
This is a life long journey for me that I don't have any choice in, I will not let my body suffer with the extra weight and I will continue to eat clean and exercise every day, every week, there are no "breaks" in health.
