A Space for Non-Scale Victories (add your own!)

Tuesday, October 15, 2013

1. I can fit in pants that are a size 22 now. No more going to stores, trying on the biggest pair of pants I can find in the store, and walking out in disgust because the biggest pair of pants I can find is too small.

2. I'm officially the lowest weight I've been since 2004. I'll simply take this as a victory, thanks.

3. I really don't care what anyone says, I'm going to lose weight. Period. Full stop.

It's really important to keep track and celebrate the "non-scale" victories! I am learning this myself as I feel like my weigh loss has slowed down in the past two weeks. Thank you for reminding me to keep track of these!!

I went shopping with friends and I tried on XL and L REGULAR shirts! No big girl store! This felt momentous!

My family sees me once or every two weeks. Tonight my brother said "wow, you are really losing weight!" I am...lol!

    Keep up the great work!!

Congratulations!! Nice blog, thanks for letting us contribute:

    1. My face in my yearly staff ID photo has gotten thinner and thinner over the past 3 years.

    2. I am tucking in my shirts and wearing a belt for the first time in about 15 years.

    3. I am enjoying clothing shopping for maybe the first time EVER.

    Thanks again and emoticon

Yay you! I am so glad to hear you are seeing results and are so committed!

For me, recent smaller jeans, bra and panties. A medium in panties. That is crazy and possibly a first in 20 years. Wow! And I can run for many minutes in a row. Also crazy.

1.The feeling you get when your pants are loose is one of the BEST! I had that feeling today, so I went to my closet and tried in the next size down, and some were tight but others were fine. Maybe in two weeks I will be wearing the smaller size with comfort:)

    2. Cinching the belt down another notch!

    3. Being able to to physical things that I used to be able to do, like bend over while riding the lawnmower to pick up things on the ground!

CONGRATS on your NSV's so far. I'm sure there will be many, many more.
