My favorite time of year continues. I was afraid yesterday's wind and rain--created appropriate gloominess for Halloween--would strip most leaves from the trees, but this morning the sun is shining on beautiful colors, still.
I know I need to take a rest day once in awhile, but then I "feel bad" about not exercising. I know movement, NEAT from SparkSolutions, is good for me, but it just isn't the same as the focused 30 minutes I spend on the treadmill. I do feel better after that 30 minutes, so I guess I've trained my mind to tell my body that.
And I'm o.k. with that. I'm going to give this current pace about 2 more weeks and then push it up some mphs. And maybe add 5 minutes to start with; maybe 10 more by end of year.
ANDDDDDD......I know, I know, I need to be adding strength training to all this. On cardio "rest" days, maybe I could do that for the 30 minutes, even though fitbit won't be smiling as much.
