Both the Biggest Loser Resort Niagara and Kripalu Yoga Center emphasized the plate version of eating healthy. Fill half with Vegetables, one quarter with grains or carby vegetables, the last quarter proteins, add a healthy fat.

I actually have a plastic plate that is divided like this that my nutritionist gave me. It looks like a plate you would use to serve a child dinner on but it's cute and helps me portion properly. I sometime use it to measure food out and then put it on a proper dinner plate so I feel more grown up. 2521 days ago
