Christmas Cheer

Sunday, December 15, 2013

I love the family get togethers over the holidays. It makes me happy to see family together. Some of the family I don't see but this one time a year and sometimes it had been two years apart. I have two step children I helped raise so I consider them mine. The step son is not an extended family close kind of guy. I love him and I know he loves me but never hear from him except he might come to Christmas dinner with the other brother and sister. I am really looking forward to this year because his whole family is coming. Two babies with their parents and grandparents, I am really excited. One of the girls I haven't seen in three years. Saturday will be such a special day for me even though lots of cooking and work. That is my Christmas Cheer.

I get ribbed a lot by my friends because I have always invited my X and his new family to these dinners. He doesn't get to see his kids either so why not bring him in to see them all together at least once a year. His decisions are his problem not mine. I have a wonderful life and looking for lots of Christmas Cheer with family.

Now, if only I can keep the calories in check with all this food I will prepare!! Merry Christmas to all on this wonderful website that helps us all stay focused and those looking for that focus.
