Hurt All Over And Adapting

Monday, January 06, 2014

Well today my back hurts from being in bed too much yesterday. My right arm hurts from the fall too and using it more. My wrist is kind of sore as well and appointment been moved to the 21st since the weather is so bloody cold here. At least the van is going on Friday this week instead of tomorrow. I am slowly adapting to doing things differently without my other hand. Had to call the school and have class put on hold until my wrist is healed. It would take too long to type with just one hand. Things are not good at church either; we both have to leave because of the pastor being unreasonable and unwilling to forgive a mistake. Will sign off now and put my wrist on ice.

Hope that things are improving for you and you are getting used to doing things "differently". So sorry to hear about the problems at your church, but it sounds like it is time to find a new church home - you want one that is not judgmental. As a preacher's daughter I know that a minister should never, ever judge and that went right on down to the family-no matter what, we would always accept that it was our job to love our church family,

I was thinking of you today and figuring you must be pretty uncomfortable. Here's a very gentle hug so it won't hurt.

Maybe this will make you smile. I had a bad car accident when my girls were little. Car was totaled, I didn't break anything but had bad soft tissue damage and bruising. Older daughter was so sympathetic. She brought me a little bell and said, "Mama, you can ring this if you need me to bring you anything." I could see wheels turning in younger daughter's head, and she disappeared. When she came back, she said, "Here, Mama. Do THIS if you need ME"--and loudly blatted her old bike horn.
I laughed so hard, I really did cry because it hurt so much to laugh!
