Amazing! (morning workout perk!)

I just started my morning boot camp workouts again yesterday and there was an unexpected perk! When I got home from work that evening, I didn't have to spend time working out OR making excuses to not work out. Believe it or not, convincing yourself that you shouldn't work out (when you know the opposite is true) is emotionally draining, which in turn saps your physical energy and then you feel completely justified doing NOTHING.

Now I know some of this extra energy is coming from the New Year and feeling all jazzed about a fresh start, but it really was nice to know that I had already worked out and I was able to tackle some of the more mundane tasks on my to-do list. And I even had enough calories and time left at the end of the evening to reward myself with a glass of wine and a nice sit down to watch one episode of Once Upon A Time. Happy New Year to me!

P.S. Some days, you have really valid reasons for not working out. You're sick or you could genuinely use the extra sleep or you actually have real things that need to get done. You know these days from days when you just don't feel like it!! Listen to yourself, don't lie to yourself. If you can't trust you, who can?
