I'm Stoked!

This December I decided to take a chance and do something that is generally considered a rookie mistake for runners. I ran at least six miles every day alternating between two routes for thirty consecutive days. Every run was downhill out uphill back. I didn't kill myself. The challenge was to get it done.
Today I was in my first race of the year and it was in the rain although it was ridiculously mild for the date. I didn't know if my unconventional running schedule at the end of 2013 would help me or hurt me. Because it was raining I kept my Garmin GPS under my sleeve once it was started and did not check it during the race. When I got home and uploaded it to Strava.Com . If you Bike or run regularly, Strava worth joining and like SparkPeople, it is free.
Anyway, the reason I'm stoked is because the Strava analysis said I had my personal best times in every standard distance within a 6.2 mile race starting with 400 meters and ending with 10K. I have been trying to break an 8 minute mile for quite a while and I finally did. Once before I hit it right on the nose, but not seeing the time start with a 7 was was disappointing. So anyway, I'm not bragging. Most of the other runners were faster than me, but I am excited and I'm not sore. There are three more races in this series, and I don't think I gave this one a maximum effort, so I'm really looking forward to the chance to kill it again.
There are four more distances where I got a personal record but they were in a different frame.
